Just think of that three month hiatus as the summer repeat season. And tonight, we’re back with new episodes! God, I need a grip on reality.

The biggest reason for my absence in the blogosphere was straight up laziness. I graduated from Emerson after a kind of/sort of/not really difficult grueling four years. I felt like treating myself to a nice hiatus from thinking. Sorry guys.

I have another excuse, and it involves writing! Like I said wayyyy back when I was preparing for Script Frenzy, I have been working on a web show for quite some time now. It’s evolved over the past five years from a dramatic spec pilot about a writer to a dramatic spec pilot about con men to a comedic spec pilot about con men to a comedic web series about wannabe criminals. So this is kind of like my baby. My baby that emerged from the womb very, very ugly and eventually grew to be about five minutes long and formatted for a tiny screen.

That’s where it will eventually end up, at least. It hasn’t been shot yet, but we’ve got five episodes written and a sixth in the works. I asked a few friends from my writing class to help me about, and we got together on a semi-regular basis, working in libraries, cafes, our own apartments, and occasionally outdoors. We even used this here internet once or twice for virtual meetings and giving notes on scripts (this through zhura.com, which is great and will get a post of its own soon). I’ll post more concrete details when it gets closer to airing, or streaming, or whatever.

Aside from that I’m working on another video on my own right now — a collaborative, communal short that I’ll be putting online at some point. Or at least part one. It’s one of those projects that I’ll either have to cut off very soon or let it go on pretty much for as long as I’m interested in it. You all know how that goes, I’m sure.

And, speaking of videos: at least one of you must be wondering when I’ll post my comedy routine. Soon. Seriously this time. I lost the DVD for most of the summer but found it when I pretended to clean my room. It’s finally been ripped to my roommate’s computer, so expect it here within the next few days.
